Faster Payment gone missing

About 10 days ago I made a payment to a local company from one of my current accounts via the NatWest App. They say the money hasn't arrived. NatWest say it left my account the day I made the payment and hasn't been returned. They have confirmed the recipient company's bank details are correct and match those I have confirmed again with the company.
The recipient banks with HSBC. I've made transfers to this company before without any issues.
NatWest are going to further investigate and I've asked the company to contact HSBC.
Any thoughts on what may be happening or anything else I can do?

When you set up the payment and put in their sort code, account number and the account name, what happened? Did it say the name of the account holder matches what you typed?0
-
OP Be careful - they might well have received the money and they are trying it on. It might be with Covid that their accounting system might be in a bit of a mess.
If your bank has confirmed that the money was credited to the beneficiary account, and those account details are correct then somebody on their side is telling porkies IMO.2 -
It's extremely unlikely that the payment has gone missing if the details are correct and payment is successful.
1 - Have you received the goods/services from the company in question?
2 - Do they have poor admin or are they misleading you?0 -
Yes confirmation of payee came up as correct.
They’re a well established firm that I’ve been using for over a year - no issues with previous payments.I guess it could be a !!!!!!-up with their accounts. I’ll ask them to check and check again. Thanks as always.0 -

OP Just clarify one thing for me - was the account details on your payee list or was this done as a brand new beneficiary.
Also do you pay using details on an invoice?

They were on my payee list from previous uncomplicated payments to them.1

100% not your doing then, either their accounting is all over the place or they are trying it on.2

Once a payment has been set up there is no CoP on further payments?0 -
CoP came up when I first set it up - it was one of the first times it ever happened. All subsequent payments (every month) have been via the payee list.1
