How to siphon petrol

Speed round a corner so you roll into a field. Once the car is on its roof, get a bucket and a funnel ready.
Pop the filler cap and bob's your uncle.

As an aside, should advice be given on a public forum on how to syphon fuel from a vehicle's tank, modern or otherwise?

Why not? Its basic physics and youll get the same advice on a fish tank forum and elsewhere. I would say defeating a fuel cap lock advice isn't the smartest but thats not whats being discussed.

No real help to the OP but someone found a good way to do it on my land rover. They were disturbed though so got no petrol. They even left me the screwdriver they'd hammered through the bottom of the tank.
