Right to a copy of the contract
Earlier this month, my wife and I took out a new mobile phone contract with EE at one of their Bristol stores. My wife signed two contracts (one for each of us but essentially on the same payment plan) but was told it was not possible to print copies in-store due to Covid restrictions, but she would be emailed a copy. None has arrived. EE customer services now claim that providing a copy of a contract is 'not something we can do'. Surely we are entitled to a copy of a contract we sign? And can anyone confirm if a phone contract is covered by the credit rules that stipulate a 14-day cooling off period? Many thanks

Don’t think it applies to instore purchases.2

Cooling off is for distance selling.

But yes, you're entitled to a copy of the contract. Phone the store.1

You can ask for what is called a Subject Access Request which will be all notes from EE held upon yourself. Be prepared though it can take 30 days to arrive.Remaining Debt - starting - £1609.44/current - £1457.731

You won't have a contract, you'll have a service agreement! Unless you've been provided a credit facility (such as O2 refresh). So they are right, there is no obligation to provide you with a copy of a contract because it's not a contract. Terms should be on the website.0
