I'm at the over end selling an empty property to a cash buyer.....Taffoire said:10 weeks so far for us, cash purchase, no chain, no survey, no completion date in sight!
10 weeks so far also.
Met the buyers for the first time when they happened to turn up when I was picking up the post, turns out both of us are keen to get the job done they wanted to complete this week!!, but iv hot back yet another host of questions today which could of should of been sorted a month ago, bloody solicitors.1 -
I used to work in conveyancing. Even in normal times I'd have said around 12 weeks was about average (searches would sometimes take 4-5 weeks to come back depending on local authority and their timelines), so I can only imagine things now. We had an offer accepted three weeks ago, no chain, I'd be happy if it was done before Christmas.0

Yep I had the same story. I think it was 6 months for me. Both parties were very keen to get things done fast... dragged and dragged.pimento said:Took us five months. We had nothing to sell (we were renting) and the cash in the bank and the house we were buying was empty. I can't believe it took so long but it did.0
