Hi all,
letters of administration were granted in March 2020- the deceased passed away Feb 2019. The administrator only applied for the letters of administration/ probate in Feb 2020 so it’s all dragging on.

Property is not on the market - estimated value £180,000.
Am I right in thinking that once six months has passed since the letters of administration were obtained, then there could be charges on the property as it’s empty- such as council tax? Please can someone advise me what charges ( if any) there could be after 6 months? The house has been empty for a year and a half.
Is there any way of getting the house on the market sooner rather than later?
I’m a beneficiary.

Have you checked the information on the council web site?

I want to know if the estate will incur any charges against it @xylophone - I have looked online but I couldn’t find out what I wanted to know. However I will use your link/ thank you for sharing. As for persuading the administrator - not an option as a Solicitor’s letter has already been sent regarding this.0

What reason does the Administrator give for not dealing with the estate and paying bequests to the beneficiaries?
