What are your rights if when you buy a new car it cannot be delivered to you as there is a defect on the car ...this is 2weeks after the car is taxed and registered

Debbie,
We will need more information to provide good suggestions.
Is it a brand new car, or second-hand?
What type of car?
What type of defect?0 -
Hi Op
2 weeks what is the defect. It is a brand new car I assume?
Reject it easy route if no hp/etc/etc but even then they have breached their contract.
2 weeks is no minor fault imo
if it is used then they should have given you another car or even if it was new, that is if you wanted
one as main dealers do that. One of our new cars some years ago had a scratch, small one but a scratch all the same,
we accepted it and it went back in a few days later and they picked up our car and dropped off a better car
OP, is it a bran new car, what is the fault, is it a main dealer or another major delaer, etc?

Alas you're back like it never happened.7 -
What happened to @sweetsand's first response when she simply wrote "Reject it."?
@OP - if there is a recall, that may not be grounds to reject the car. Can you please share more details as it is going to be very difficult to give constructive answers if it is too much like pulling hen's teeth? It is possible there will be someone on here that may know what the issue is if only we know what car is affected. Even if reject is an option, that leaves you still wanting another car from somewhere else. Why can't the dealer supply the car and then address the recall as a planned visit?0 -
New car -Ford Kuga PHEV0

And what is the recall?
Has the dealer said why they can't supply the car, then fix the recall in a routine manner?0 -
