    Day 85 today. Thanks all I am getting there I think. Just need to keep doing what I’m doing and engaging with the pros etc. 5 days to my day 90 target didn’t think I’d make that.

    Will spend a bit of money over this weekend but nothing too crazy. Free lunch on Monday haha have to think on the positive side about that lol so going with free gluttonous lunch with wine just not let it get too silly. Banned myself from having more than 2 drinks ha.

    Few things to think about over today but going to log off until tonight now.

    Well done on sticking to the straight and narrow for so long.  Almost 90 days now. Resetting the spending seems to have worked for you and hopefully you are now so set on keeping on budget getting access to your  card for expenses should be fine.  I would not be getting an iphone 13 for a 7 year old.  That quite honestly is ridiculous.  Supposing he breaks it or loses it, not unheard of for a 7 year old.

    Day 85 through without too much trouble lol.

    @enthusiasticsaver thank you, yeah it's getting close. That's the idea re getting back to putting my expenses on my company card - it's a lot easier tbh not using that as an excuse, it really is lol.

    Re the iPhone he and I had a bit of a disagreement about that today. He's very much decided it has to be 'the pro one' fml wife has been talking about the specs and he's like a little Apple nerd following in the Mrs' footsteps. Actually had the words 'they should be making the refresh rate better' haha funny as !!!!!!. Or was until he got angry about it and kicked me as hard as he could in my shin when I told him not happening can choose another present for his birthday and I'll have a think about him maybe getting my old phone - contract up and will get a new one through business as I usually do when the contract is up. My phone is fine (iPhone XS) but that's not good enough fml when I was his age coolest thing in the world was my Dad's mate with a car phone haha no !!!!!! refresh rates lol. Idk maybe it's me but I don't think so.

    Tbh after kicking you the last thing he would be getting was ANY phone ….. that needs dealing with now before you end up with a spoilt entitled brat. Round here (affluent village) kids aren’t normally given a phone till they move up to middle school (so year 7)

    @FootyFanDan thank you mate. I hear you re Christmas though haha.

    @getmore4less thanks mate.

    Bit late now but I'll put up plans for next few months until end of year some point over this long weekend - doesn't harm to get a sense check but oct / nov / dec all going to be more expensive than the coming sept month. However, I think I have a reasonable chance of being sub-£20k on the cards by the end of the year. Can hardly believe I'm saying it myself but I think its doable.

    I need to stay away from the nights out in town with staff or anyone else for that matter. Not all my staff into doing coke but a few are and tbh I used to be the worst for it by a fair margin. Look back and !!!!!! cringe tbh half relieved I won't be having to face the world the days after with the shame of it.

    Big thanks to you mate for the reset I think you were probably taking the !!!!!! but I thought I had nothing to lose give it a try and tbh not enough to buy the stuff so thought bit of a win win for me maybe and turned out well. Don't need thousands available to me every single minute of everyday that's my thinking at the moment. Was saying to wife this evening, it just !!!!!! encourages the reckless spending just because you can kind of thing. She relates to that lol.

    Long term Wishlist is in no order - last ever massive !!!!!! blow out res home purchase, a V12 XJS whilst I can, buy the MG and three watches that most on here would be really !!!!!! disgusted with the cost of. So yeah ultimately my Mrs is right. Do have smaller stuff I've planned out, clothes / tech replacements etc - it appeals to my obsessive side tbf lol.

    Another thing I spoke to my Mrs about re the getting trapped with the 'it's a bargain / on sale etc'. Problem with the HUKD site is a lot of stuff you won't have ever thought about, just random bits to think yeah go on then. How you end up a hoarder going on those sites I reckon mate haha.

    BBQ charcoal I'll keep her looking out for thanks. Fml re BBQ accessories, my Mrs has a load of stuff in wishlists for the BBQing and this !!!!!! MG. Neither of which she had wish lists for prior to us acquiring them.

    @warby68 ha very true that is and thank you. Negotiated a raise starting on the 1st too lol.

    My wife and I are just looking out for each other, we don't no one else will. Not going to pretend we've had a hard time of it in the way some people in this world have but things haven't been easy, certainly not for the past 5 or so years. Stuck together when a lot of others wouldn't tbh.

    Plenty of times I should have left work meals early. I never did anything about it because I was the worst for it not going to pretend otherwise but it's time for me to grow up and take the sort of approach you're talking about I know that and yeah I know what you mean about not really good for me or them sticking around from experience.

    @Sun_Addict I do generally, definitely this past week or so anyway thank you.

    That's the plan re Christmas.

    @Willowtree222 / @Disney_Princess85 / @RelievedSheff / @annabanana82 thank you all.

    @dawnybabes he can be a bit of a brat sometimes tbh that's kids though. Can't say I was exactly pleased about it, he had 20 mins in his bedroom as time out so hopefully done the trick. My wife lets him punch and kick her all the time, it's !!!!!! ridiculous tbh.

    Day 86 today. Get through the bank holiday weekend and 90 days is in the bag.

    You and your wife are doing great.

    I agree with the others though you need to nip your sons spoilt brat behaviour in the bud before he gets much older.
