Hi All
Just getting a general feel for something here. People who don't pay their bill would understand why a provider has to cut you off as they not getting the money they should for providing a service yeah. That's not the issue. Vodafone do this weird thing. You call them to pay the bill when you have been cut off but because you have been cut off you don't have any data. Which ironically enough you need to be able to pay the bill via a text they send you when in the call in to send your card details. Now surely I'm not the only one that thinks that's silly that they cut you off for not paying the bill but when you can pay the bill you actually cant as they cut your services off?

Can't you pay the bill by a. bank transfer on a computer b. logging into your Vodafone a/c from a computer (the library if you haven't got one at home or can't use someone else's)?0

Not the same but I know with Sky when you run out of data you can get onto their website to either buy more or roll back data. Surprised Vodafone don’t do something similar.0

1) There are lots and lots and lots of working phones in this world. Borrow a friend's or relatives. Or even a public payphone.
2) If you feel you cannot pay your phone bill, get in touch with your provider BEFORE the bill is due so that you can discuss what options are available. Simply burying your head in the sand isn't the answer...2 -
Vodafone Top Up works regardless of data or not on PAYG. I have a £0 PAYG sim here and just tested it. Hard to see a contract wouldn't be the same.If you have the "My VodaFone" App you might be able to log in there and give the option to pay.Other than that you need to use some free WiFi.I am unsure how/what IP/Domains are allowed, it might be that the APP itself sends a flag for the payment site (On PAYG) to work, so a contract that's expired trying to pay might be different. vestapay.vodafone.co.uk does seem to work for me on all options, and it even lts me pay up any phone number - Not sure if that would work for you.0

Surely it’s because most people have Wi-Fi at home so even if cut off from the mobile network, the link will work over Wi-Fi to then pay the bill?0

You can use the Vodafone App to pay when you have no data.0
