Does this sound a good buy?
69 reg Kia Sportage 1.6 GDi Platinum Edition with 4 miles (yes, 4 miles, not 4k) on the clock - full 7 year warranty for £20,995? Kia dealership
Will probably keep for 7-10 years.
Trade-in would be a 2013 (13 reg) Honda CRV SE 2.2 DTEC Auto 4x4 5 dr 71k miles (parkers says £6.2k part-ex)
Edit Oops, removed auto from Kia Sportage description

Bottom line, if you are happy with it, then it is a good buy. They look cool from the outside but IMHO the inside is not as cool - I sat in a friends car - I think we have been spoilt with Mercs, Range Rover, etc but then again they cost loads more and they don't give you the 7 year warranty, so well done.

They are about £25k list, so it is about 15% off.Sounds alright if you want one, remember you will have to mess with the gears by yourself (probably quite often with a 2 tonne car and a 1600 engine) and there isn't a spare wheel.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Get a good drive and see if you are happy with performance and mpg,1

1.6 might be a bit underpowered for a car that size. Have you had a test drive?Kia’s are decent cars for the price.1

I had a top spec auto sportage on loan for a few days earlier this year. Really looked the part but overall I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the lack of support in the drivers seat when cornering ( it had the top spec leather heated seats in it) . I also found the boot to be small in comparison to the size of the car. The 1.6 diesel didn’t feel underpowered1

Personally I would not go from a Honda to a Kia.1

For the OP, I understand the Kia brand to be a perfectly good product and my friend who has the Sportage loves it.
To assess the 'bargain' that this particular car is, can you get the full spec of the car and then configure a new car in the online sites such as Broadspeed or DriveTheDeal? If the car you are getting is a good price compared to the online discounted broker prices, then it probably is a good deal. If the online broker prices can offer a "70" plate brand new for much the same price, either buy the brand new or use that information to negotiate a further discount. Also check, is the spec of the "69" plate car the same as a brand new "70" plate? If the price is right, this is probably a good way to go forwards.

Thanks for the responses. I'm definitely not a car enthusiast, more of an A to B (with a bit comfort/toys). Only reason i have the CRV is it was nearly £10k off list price at a year old when I last went looking for a carSpoke to the boss after posting this and she didn't want anything but an auto and seeing as we're a 1 car family and she uses it more than I do we didn't bother in the end to go view it. The best laid plans of mice and men.....Still, gave me an idea for when I next go looking (this was a bit of an impulse thought), I'm finding it hard to look beyond a 7 year warranty though0

The 7 year warranty IMHO has a lot going for it espcailly you intended to keep the car for a long time. As I said the car looks great on the outside but I'm no fan of the inside. You will need a full service to maintain the 7 yr warranty but I guess you know that.
If I was in your shoes, nothing beats an auto and if keeping the car for a long time and our budget was limited to yours I too would go for the Kia auto
