For those following this thread in future, I have SOLVED this issue and the dishwasher is like brand new. Super.
The fix involved opening up the bottom and gaining access to pipework and the water pump.
Here, the three images show the sump pipe and flow pipe completely utterly blocked with crud. I opened up the hozeclips and removed the pipes, cleaning with a pipebrush and rinsing clean in warm water with white vinegar in. By the way, it is the same pipes just shown from different angles and zoom.

Next, I disconnected the pump hozes. Wow! the impellor fan was completely gummed up with crud. It hardly moved. Also the hoze was blocked (difficult to see because the block was in the middle of the hoze). Disconnected the fan and cleaned out the pump.

Connect all back, ensure everything tight and connectors refitted.
Re-install into the under-worktop area, power on , a rinse programme and then a full wash.
BACK TO "AS NEW" CONDITION
So so so happy.
p.s. I would add, that this unit has had FOUR dishwasher "cleaner" additives and cycles. No difference. They will never budge this type of crud.7 -
Well done and thanks for coming back with an update.0

I got a man out when we had this type of problem with our dishwasher and he told me that it can happen when you use the eco setting for the dishwasher all the time. It's worth using the hottest wash you can every now and again to 'melt' all the fat that gets clogged up in the pipes.

Never been cleaned this way, before, and it is years old. Only took me half hour to clean out line this so it is well worth the time and effort , prior to expending unwarranted expense on new parts..as i did 😔0

I found that having cleaned mine like you have, an occasional maximum temperature wash with a glass-full of vinegar sitting upright in the top tray keeps the pipes clean thereafter.ninjaef said:Never been cleaned this way, before, and it is years old.
