Springsteen Uk Pre-sale

All sold out now apparently, what a shambles.Je suis Charlie.0

Well hopefully they are in control as regards processing confirmed bookings, but in my opinion selling tickets earlier than the published on-sale date/time is well out of order.
If I came along at the published time and found that only the cheap seats were left (as indeed seems to be the case) I would be furious, and rightly so. Not sour grapes, I came along earlier and (apparently) have secured my tickets, but that doesn't make it right.
I understand what you are saying but there are a couple of other outlets available. I don't think it's just the cheap seats left - from what I can see, the ticket agencies seem to sell a block then put another online. In any case, I'd imagine in any of those stadia, everyone will get a good view - it's not like Knebworth.
Personally, I think it's great some were on sale early. I was hoping to get Springsteen tickets for the 02 with no joy. If it's wrong-footed some of the people who are habitually poised at the 9 o'clock deadline for these big events, buy as many as they can then immediately put them on ebay, then hooray for that!0 -
All ticket classes are showing as available again, it's changing by the minute. The block-by-block theory doesn't hold water for the standing tickets.
Being able to see the stage is not the same as having a good view. Standing tickets, get there very early, be right at the front is the way to do it, not squinting at a midget-sized Bruce from 200 yards away.
I too was poised at my keyboard for the O2 without sucess, but I wandered along on the offchance the next day and there were a handful more tickets on sale, but they only lasted a couple of minutes.
If they want to bamboozle the scalpers by making batches available randomly over a few days then that's fine by me, but they should PUBLISH the policy and then STICK TO IT!
Not everyone who moseys along at the published 9:00 deadline is looking to make a fast buck, many will be ordinary fans like you and I who just want to go to the gig. I feel very sorry for any who miss out (although if this thing sells out in minutes or hours then I think it's pretty much guaranteed that the Saturday night will be added; the papers have already reported that Arsenal applied for a license for both nights).
Pray for good weather...Je suis Charlie.0 -
I guess they must release them in batches to stop the site crashing?
Well, I guess it's just one of those cases where hopefully we struck lucky. I've missed out plenty of times, so not going to feel guilty about it!
Enjoy it...0 -
what a farce.
i phoned yesterday and the woman on the phone told me id booked through a fraudulent link and that my tickets had already been cancelled. she assured me that no money was taken from my account, as they had dismissed the order. she mentioned the word hacked! any excuse to fob me off, although i pointed out that they had simply made an !!!! of their pre-sale..... opening it up to anyone !! she blamed bulletin boards and ebay for selling/sharing links.
anyway, she said that if i bought them today it would be fine. i bought a couple for emirates and manchester. also got a couple of ticketmaster. so hopefully everything will be ok
the annoying thing is that harveygoldsmith.com 's ticket link was the EXACT SAME LINK as i posted on here yesterday!! crazy

Now you've got me worried...0 -
Not suggesting for a moment that you should feel guilty, I don't. It's not your fault (or mine) that the system is half-baked, and we'd probably still have been successful if they'd stuck to the "rules". It's not normally difficult to get tickets for the stadium shows in the first few hours. Last time, at the Crystal Palace dump, I believe that it didn't actually sell out over the two nights.
I hope you have a great time. I will, as I also will at the O2, Paris and Barcelona! (n.b. for REAL shambolic incompetence that Spanish ticket agency takes the biscuit...).Je suis Charlie.0 -
Basically it sounds like they put the page up early and just hoped (wrongly) that by not publishing the URL no-one would notice. Utterly incompetent.Je suis Charlie.0

n.b. I linked to it this morning from www.brucespringsteen.net. That's the official Bruce site, no need for hackers, BB's or eBay!Je suis Charlie.0
