Vodafone Gigafast - any experiences ?

Hi,

Our Virgin Media contract is due to end next month and the price hike to £55 is too much for us plus we now  have Vodafones FTTH in the street and offering  100mb and phone for just £25 !

Spoke to Virgin today  but they could not come close, almost sounding resigned to us leaving, yet they do offer new folk a 100mb  and phone deal for £27 !!  Why loose us then ??

Wondered what folks experience of this new Vodadone Fibre service is like, good or bad  and any tips for getting the best deal from them ?

Initial contact with Vodafone great - ongoing a complete nightmare would not use them again even if it meant going back to dial up

As per the title of the thread, it's "Gigafast", not "gigabit" (the offerings clearly fall short of that):

Rumor has it that the gigafast product is run by a seperate team who are UK based and actually OK. People say nice things. Not widely available though. 

Unlike the regular broadband division who went into meltdown a year or two ago and have never really recovered.
