Should I try a EE sim card before joining 1p mobile

I'm thinking of changing to 1p mobile but I don't know what the 2G signal will be like in my area so if I tried an EE sim card will I get the same signal as 1p mobile as I know id mobile you get a different signal to three.

I would think so 2g will be fine i have plusnet and it runs off of EE and it runs fine to be on the safe side you could try an EE sim first but if you get good signal where you live already your be fine.

You cannot get a sim from 1p mobile without it being top-up when you buy i think its £10 minimum.

How do you know that the OP will have good 2G coverage from EE?
VF or O2 would usually be better just from having 900MHz 2G than EEs 1800MHz 2G

Unless EE's nearest site is much closer than VF or O2's. There will be countless examples of all networks being better in particular locations.

I don't and if you read what i said.  i said to be on the safe side try EE sim anyway. 
By the way where i live Vodafone is the worst signal i cannot even get 2g let alone 3G/4/5.

Even if the EE site is closer, it doesn't mean it will have better signal plus 900MHz travels further and penetrates indoors much better than 1800MHz. EE only has minimal low frequency (800 MHZ) coverage at 4G and doesn't even enable it for prepay customers.

To say that a 900Mhz network gives better coverage simply because it uses 900MHz is rubbish. You can quote weblinks all you like, but it doesn't make the claim true.

Coverage at any given location depends on a combination of radio site location, frequency in use and (if indoors) building construction, there are scenarios where 1800/2100Mhz can and will give better coverage than 800/900Mhz.

Higher frequencies simply don't penetrate many buildings as well as lower frequencies - it's physics.
