Wow, you've come so far since your very nervous, hesitant steps, when you first came to the forum just 4 years ago. Absolute kudos and admiration from me.Can I book you should I be daft enough to fall for a PPC scam? Don't stay awake! 😆
As for that nervous person who tiptoed nervously into the group 4 years ago - he made a brief reappearance on Monday. Fortunately he's back in his box now I've dusted off the cobwebs.8 -
Fortunately he's back in his box now I've dusted off the cobwebs.Do you mean 'back on his box'? The world's a better place with you ravaging random PPCs and their legals, especially when they don't know who's coming knocking.Think Mike Ehrmantraut - Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Have you watched these? Netflix - watch in the above order. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

That's a great report. Very well done and up against someone with a very impressive profile.

Can't wait for this transcript, covered by crowdfunding by esteemed BMPA member(s). It will be great for residential cases! At the moment, people with residential claims can at least cite the appeal and give the date, claim number & parties involved as well as the Judge.
Did the regulars recognise HHJ Saffman's name? It is he of the dreadful decision in VCS v Ward, where he was persuaded by VCS' legal rep (who had the floor to him/herself in that case) that a no-stopping road was the same as the Beavis case, in theory, and that VCS v Crutchley was persuasive and somehow a driver should dump their car somewhere on approach(!), get out and walk and read the signs in a no-stopping road...
Huge kudos to Lamilad! Love that report. Correct result and persuasive on other courts.
I have never appeared at an Appeal Hearing (can't see my local courts allowing RoA at appeal, seeing as they even refused the RoA of a fellow BMPA member, wrongly, this year).
Regulars should click on that blue link and have a look at the barrister's specialisms...

UKPC will have paid him probably 3 hours to draft a skeleton, then travel costs from Canterbury to Leeds, and probably around £1,500 for attendance at the hearing. So they will have wasted around £3k to get a kicking, and a Judgment which will kill off their other claims once the transcript is available.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.10 -
