I don't find mine any good at all, its far too gentle and smalls can sit on it for hours and still not dry. However I am the proud owner of not just one, but two Dri-Buddies and I love them

Well done with all your endeavours, I find it very helpful finding out how other people have approached things. Thanks for posting and being involved.

Not seen Dri Buddies before, they look good. When the utility room was built as part of the extension, there was a sloping portion to the roof. I went in one day and they had boarded it flat with a ceiling. I reminded them that I wanted it open, so we could have a pulley rack (is there a name for those?) . It's been wonderful, bit heavy when laden and awkward for sheets.  So I just put normal stuff on and have a couple of those peggy hanger things for smalls. Sheets go on the clothes horse/over the shower screen/on the towel rail/over the bath edge in the family bathroom, which isn't normally in use.

In other news...I was away again for a week, so come back to jobs needing catching up. When I was on quarantine last time the cellar had a really good clear out and how hub is doing his side. He wants to make a new saw bench table in there, so is motivated!  It gives me a good feeling when I see what progress has been made there. I've been giving things away on local Free group, which is great. Son and new wife have a few things put on one side for them.

I have given the bureau a cursory go, need to do some more. I really do find the 'where would I look for this?' a very good prompt. There are some things till that I use relatively regularly that don't have a place.  I need to think more about that.

ours is a hyundai but it is the same to look at as a dry buddy. Got it off amazon about 3 or 4 years ago and it gets used by all of us. You can sort of dry sheets if you keep returning and refolding them but its better for smaller things.
We hang shirts etc on hangers and use some of those little whirligig hangers with pegs for smalls. It warms the room up very nicely and you dont get condensation everywhere.

How are y'all doing?  I am trying to have the mindset of just doing something when I see it.  I am going to have to remove everything from the kitchen drawers one at a time, simply to clean them.  But then I thought....no tackle the visible!

So I'm trying to get everything off the counter tops that I don't want there!  I have a new piece of equipment (a Qettle) going in shortly and the tank and filter are going to have to go in the cupboard where the baking tins are at present. I had cleared a shelf in the Futility Room for the purpose, culled a couple of things on their way through and will return to them later. My plan is that the container for those will be one shelf. Max one plus the stack of huge round tins for wedding cakes etc.

So then how can I make another shelf for some other things? I have been culling my recipe books for years, gradually whittling them down. Now I have decided that my container is going to be one shelf in the cupboard.  That might take some doing.

Futility room! ::snort::: Love it, never heard it called that before....
I'm going into the room of doom after to go through books and boxes. I need to pick which ones first [books or boxes] because I went in there last night and just moved some stuff around without actually doing anything....This room basically holds things that we would either be using or looking at or have found a home for if our house was not DIY SOS ready...

Sock folding ? We put the socks together, then either fold over the top and leave em flapping or tuck the whole sock in. YouTube has useful stuff and mindless stuff eg some American made up Kim Kardashian style showing off how blingy tat from Home Goods or Target can make your coffee table look "high end".

And I battle on!   Had a hiccup at the weekend though.  I went to get icecream from the freezer and I couldn't get my spoon into it. Got the thermometer and it's running at -34C.  Hub was keen to do the turn it off and on again solution till I pointed out that it might not come on again! Anyway, discussion over the next 12 hrs or so.... decided to see what was available, the freezer is 20+ years old and since my daughter's FF went a month or two back I've been fretting about it. MY plan was to get a new one as we don't have a lot going on and to have it actually conk out completely at an inconvenient time.... not good.

Existing one was a 1.6m long massive chest freezer. The kitchen has been altered since it went down and we weren't sure we could get it out so looked for something smaller. My suggestion being 2 smaller ones might be easier to sort out. Found some for delivery on the Monday by AO, but didn't quite have the right ones, looked at Curry's who had their own brand available for collection 12 miles away. Hub worked out they would go in my boot one at a time. These are of course cheaper (not much to go wrong with a freezer, is there?) and we didn't have to pay delivery fees. Battle to get the old one out last night and bloke coming to collect for the grand fee of £30 tomorrow. No connection fees, fitting fees, remooval fees de dah de dah de dah.

FOrtunately I have been fairly regularly doing sort outs in the freezer recently, so no nasty surprises. I do have too much fruit in there. Too many frozen french beans!

House wise a bit slow, though I've been getting through the kitchen drawers. My Visible nuisance is the dining table, need to finish the project i am on and get it cleared once and for all! Hope you are all continuing to declutter successfully.

Soooooooo, the house was a right pickle at the weekend, boxes/polystyrene from the freezer everywhere in bits, a couple of big wine boxes, another big cardboard box or two from deliveries and then old baskets and so on from the freezer lying around. Husband has just started to brew beer so his kit was everywehre.  Kitchen a mess and just getting me down. More cardboard than we will burn, so I decided that rather than compromise the bins for the week I would nip to the tip. It's only a 5 min drive. Loaded all that into the car for another day. hub cleared his stuff up and I did the rest. I think because it was only 'surface' mess, it was quite easy to get the place back to normal.

Laundry all got done on Sunday!  I love that I don't have to think about it till next weekend.  I clear the stuff in the bedroom laundry basket every few days and put in the sorter in the Futility room, So I can't see if there is a lot or a little.

Got to admit purpleivy I kinda lost my mojo for a while so returned to full on slob mode :)
I think I started to do too much along the lines of fly lady or the woman who tidies drawers ....they have never worked for me and clearly didn't this time either so its back to the basics again to regroup
The garage and office remain as my rooms of doom so baby steps next week to start back on them
I have kept with all washing done on a Monday which does work for me but I can only manage 2 dishwasher runs a week it been just me.
