I'm afraid the 'text-talk' isn't providing the necessary detail. The OP needs to respond fully, or just get on with it themselves, otherwise we're all going around in circles. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

So have you got a ccj or are you being threatened with a ccj?2

Why are you not just following the NEWBIES thread advice about how to get a CCJ set aside?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am sorry about pictures, my children/grandchildren normally sort all this for me, although being a greatgrandfather shows I am of an age where I can no longer fight my own battles without the use of modern technology. I did manage to sort credit report for my wife and was astounded to find that she has a ccj that I am presuming is regarding this matter, received no official court papers alerting us though. Thank you all for help. Looks like we will have "knock on the door" soon.1

Forgot to add, I am helping my wife conduct this.0

You might want to take down those letters as they leave far too much personal information on view.2

Did you receive the court order informing you/your wife of the judgment against? If so, why did you not pay it then? Is it a valid claim? As the first letter has an August date, you are too late to pay and not have a CCJ recorded on the Credit report. If you want your credit report cleared then you will have to submit a set-aside application. Beware though, that judges do not like credit cleansing and therefore you will need a good reason why you did not defend the original claim and that you have a good prospect of doing so if they were to grant the set-aside. Read the NEWBIE sticky second post and also some posts by @henrik777.2

I've stood on my head (not done that since school gym days!) to read the letters. It seems the CCJ was issued around or before January of this year. This is a bit of a mess now.@hussey76 - is there any reason why you did not respond to the court claim which would have been issued to your wife towards the end of last year? We're looking for straws in the wind right now! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
