Out of contract. Stupid new deal offered by BB/EE

OH has a Samsung Galaxy 7 on an out of contract deal with BT (was ee.) He has stuck with them partly because his package includes good insurance on 24 hour courier replacement of phone if lost or bricked. Recently went into BT/ee local shop to enquire about deals on newer phones. Very disappointed that salesman kept offering lesser spec phone for more money.  Could not make him see this was unattractive  deal.  What to do next?. Have looked at alternative providers but cannot find one who include insurance for 24 replacement phone by courier in package. (Just take it from me, he needs this.)

I would advise not to go into phone shops to buy a phone on contract because you do not get any cooling of period like 14 days return. If you search the web and find a deal you will get the cooling of period.
Have a look on Uswitch you might find something on there. Goto top of page under mobiles and there is a pull down list.

Just to make you aware with EE they've started to apply CPI+3.9% for new and upgrading customers effective September 1st so if you decided to remain with them it's worth factoring it in when prices rise in each March.

Had a similar issue with my Galaxy S6. Served me well but the phone started randomly  getting warm and not
lasting as long as it used to.

Samsung S20 range = Stupid prices.   Lower ranges on paper had poor screens.  Found a good deal on an S10e.
