It's unusual (but not impossible) for someone to go all the way through the process without posting and just using the forum for guidance. Some will go through the initial stages without posting and start to post at the defence stage. I am surprised that they did not post their defence and WS for critique.

Must admit, when the new CoP happens, (which century we don't know), VCS and Excel are in the top three of my bucket list to get rid of1 -

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback.
Just to make something clear. I did post and ask for advise on this forum a while back, before covid, but I had problems with my account and had to register for a new username. Hence why my previous posts are not showing up. I posted my whole defence on here and took on board all feedback given before filing it.
Unfortunately due to family problems I needed to travel abroad for 4 weeks but notified the court of the absence as no court hearing was set. My neighbour checked my mail and a paper hearing court date had been set in my absence. I did appeal this but they advised as I was abroad- despite telling them I was before a court date was set- they could not do any other hearing other than a paper one and it MUST go ahead on the date given by the court. I had absolutely no other option than to allow this.
I guess I will just pay the £150 ....0 -
Not at all true - an Application could have been made, but indeed.
You know there is always risk in litigaiton. Nothing can be certain once a judge is in charge.2 -

That is a take of woe but please could you edit your title of this thread. This is not an example of a case lost after following all forum advice and is a bit off-putting for a newbie. People lose if they agree to a hearing on the papers, or get foisted into one like you did. Also you made no mention of doing any WS or evidence so if you didn't do that stage then you were almost bound to fail.
Get some more effective revenge:Please now make a real difference - A TASK FOR SEPTEMBER.The Government is (this month only) consulting about a new statutory code of practice (CoP) and framework to rein in the rogue parking firms. Read and comment on the draft CoP proposal and the enforcement framework consultation, and get everyone you know to do the same. You will need to register to comment on the CoP and enter an occupation even if you are retired or a homemaker, but otherwise it is easy to navigate, and comment upon each section/subsection individually. You can save comments to edit later and or submit comments once you are happy with them. You do not need to register to comment on the enforcement framework which can be found here. It has a link on page 5 to make comments. At the very least, we say the parking charge level should be £50/£25 or higher level £70/£35, as per Council PCNs in E&W.And we say the added fake 'debt recovery' costs are just double counting the cost of letters, and MUST GO because that is unfair and illegal. Please be heard. You can bet the hundreds of PPCs will be commenting. No apologies for repeating this vital 'call for action' to consumers, on every thread this month!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
