TV Licence - Partially sighted and retrospective refund

Does anyone know if TV Licensing accept digital evidence, rather than physical photocopies? It seems antiquated evidence needs to be posted and also currently I'd rather not go into somewhere to use a photocopier to copy the evidence on behalf of my parents.

Define digital evidence. Do you mean a photo?

https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/cs/pay-for-your-tv-licence/blind/index.app    Clearly requires the forms and proof of entitlement copy to be printed and sent by post whether having a paper or online TV licence.

There are online places that will print documents and send them to you if you haven't got a printer of your own.  A good photo of the proof could be printed on to standard 80gsm paper?  One random print service example https://www.doxdirect.com/document-printing/a4-document-printing/

If you think this is antiquated just look at the hoops PIP lower rate mobility people have to jump through to get the 50% VED reduction via DVLA - every single year!

Just an update, received a response from TV Licencing and they are accepting photos of evidence :)
  • I’m guessing you’re severely sight impaired? And not partially sighted as per the title.

Been partially sighted does not entitle you to the reduction.

It’s not for me, it’s for my father, as stated in original post. To confirm he has the CVI so is severely sight impaired.
  • Just checking.

You get a CVI if your partially sighted too.

    That’s why I was checking.

This saga is still ongoing, with no refund as yet, they wanted proof of the TV Licences, even though number and property has not changed in over 40 years, or copies of the paper statements with the Direct Debit dating back to pre-2010.
