BA - absolutely, I've just booked for next July, only deposit until 3 weeks out, and can cancel myself for any reason and get a (genuinely useful) voucher back.

Why abroad and why not travel to somewhere in the UK ?
I've had some great holidays in the UK. But also many that were all but wrecked by terrible weather and that's not covered by insurance either!

I think this is the problem, currently the government advice is don’t travel so would that mean I couldn’t get travel insurance for that far in advance that actually covered me?Sooler said:Check your travel insurance options, some policies have ..."COVID 19 cover is available as long as your trip was booked when there was no government advice in place against travel to your destination."Hi check this Article on the web site here you can now get cover but it is very specific so be aware of the T&C'sNationwide packaged account might be useful for you?

It may be safer to travel somewhere abroad then somewhere in the UK. One of the criticisms of the blanket travel ban was you had more chance of catching COVID-19 by going on holiday to parts of the UK then by going to countries with a relatively low infection rate. You could also find a UK holiday is cancelled due to a local lockdown.DCFC79 said:Why abroad and why not travel to somewhere in the UK ?0
