  • For me the downstairs bathroom and state of the garden put me off but not critically.

The decor is not to my taste but my only real concern would be about how to cover up the black chimney breast.

However, the fact that the EA has clearly doctored the photo's (look at the clouds on pics 3 & 9) is an instant turn off as I wonder what else is being hidden.

At the end of the day though, as long as the price is right then anything will sale so I would say that viewers think that the price is still too high.
  • You house is overpriced. You have a similar house that sold for £390k before lockdown and there is a perception that house prices have gone down since then.
  • Nothing to add that hadn’t already been said, but my word! £425k!?!? Another reason why I’m glad to live in the grim, dark north east!

Hi. I am afraid to say, the poor decor makes your property look more like a grubby student let rather than a family home. It may be worth investing in a lick of paint, some nice furniture, and a gardener, then getting new pictures taken.
I believe this poster recently started a thread regarding giving her tenant notice because she wanted to sell the property to be nearer her work.  Her understanding of the process to serve notice/evict was, ahem, non-existent and she had threatened the tenant with a bad reference if he didn't go.  Her buy to let was high end with quality furniture,  not the usual type of tenanted property.  Don't think she took on board any of the advice given.  Suffice it to say, just ignore her remarks.

Hi. Please, this is all sorted now so no need to bring it up. Tenant is leaving next week, and my home is not a buy to let. I do agree that "grubby" may have been a bit harsh, but the property does look rather drab and I do feel that a re-decorate is in order.
