New windows 10 or 20 year guarantee, £5500 or £6500?

Companies can give you a million year guarantee if they know that they won't be around a few years later.  There is a company based in the North West of England who advertise heavilly on radio and in newspapers etc.  They offer 'unbelievable' guarantees.  How? Why... Because they have a history of going bump.  Example..
You come to my company 'Joe Bloggs Windows'.  I give you a billion year guarantee.  Two years later my company goes bump and reforms as 'Joe bloggs Windows & doors'.  (Slight name change) You ring me up and say "I have a problem with your products".  I say "Sorry, that was the old company".  You say "But you are the person who sold me the goods and this is the same telephone number and you are based at the same premises".  "Sorry madam.  I can't help you.  The previous company has gone".
