A woman in our office is very open about the fact her going through "the change" means she can't regulate her temperature. So it probably is the reason, especially if she is of a certain age.mr_stripey said:
yes, perhaps I should suggest that to her......bradders1983 said:
The menopause, usuallymr_stripey said:when I was in the office we constantly had air con wars. It's hard to understand how I can be sat there with my fan on in short sleeves and feel roasting, whilst my colleague sits there with a heater under her desk wearing a jumper and fleece and still complaining she's freezing!0 -
as the others you will be saving far more working from home - the crunch might be if the coffee machine at work is on free vend or not.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

But if you do feel like you need support then ask your employer, they might be willing to help.

My windows are open, because I like fresh air not because I have the heating on! Everybody runs at different temperatures, its not remotely cold to me yet but my friend 5 miles away has got her heating on and her electric blanket out!fairyclairethehare said:I'm in England and its freezing at the moment, but I live under a blanket at home for maybe 10 months a year.
I did notice that my neighbours have their windows open so I suspect they've put their heating on - they set it to a balmy 27°!! And sit in shorts and tshirt through the winter1 -
I was sat in a cheap puffy jacket i have especially for the cold mornings working from home. The sun came out after lunch & the jacket got put away.I save nothing by working from home as i walk to work, take my own lunch & the coffee was free. I now take a flask & will be going back to the office 4 days a week, just having my half day at home. I can afford the heating being on for that morning & i go to the gym when i finish at 1pm.I think a few people will struggle with extra heating costs who would normally not have it on all day0

I am very lucky my employer has worked really hard to get the office covid secure so those of us who really need to work in an office rather than at home (mostly mental health impacts) can do so. They have been great. It didn’t matter how much it cost, they got it doneBarny1979 said:
