    Tax refunds are usually from May / June onwards when HMRC start working through and balancing the contributions against what should have been paid.

    1D1L and A1DI have changed a lot from when they first opened up and it was staple food, but not many versions.

    Make sure you do a food audit to see what you have at home, write a shopping list and stuck to a planned budget.
    - one way of saving extra money is if you set £25 a week food budget, but then only spend £21.50, move the £3.50 to savings.

    Check you have got reasonable interest rates for your savings accounts as that does help boost the kitty.

    Your planned savings look fine and achievable.
    Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear it in 2026.

     I find l1dl and a1di definitely save lots.
