But that's the problem. You haven't sorted it as the email you sent off is factually incorrect as you told Argos that you have the right to have the oven replaced at no cost, something that simply isn't the case.happyolddog said:Thanks for the criticism!
I have a mental condition and find all of this very difficult, I have ‘without you‘ sorted this, so rather than blasting off if you don’t have anything positive to say then please say nothing.
Thank you.

If you'd stated that at the start, people might have talked you through the information you need to provide to get the right advice. You haven't sorted it. I expect Argos will just dismiss your letter because it's factually incorrect.happyolddog said:

You need to provide full details if you want help. You've provided an opening post with minimal information and as people are prompting, you're drip-feeding more incomplete information. You've also blasted off an ill-advised and ill-informed demand prematurely.
When did you buy it? Sounds like June last year.
How did you pay?
When did it first go wrong?
Was that repair under a warranty, a guarantee or consumer rights?
Who fixed it and when?

You need consumer rights advice to sort out your problem. Whether that's sugar-coated or not doesn't change the advice you need. If you're more interested in contesting my post rather than answering the appropriate questions in it, you're not going to get the help you require.2 -
I think you are being a bit unfair here. The post I see as constructive criticism, so in essence positive.happyolddog said:

What you sent off to Argos was completly incorrect, people are trying to help you by asking for information so you can be advised correctly.

SoGA & CRA both offer a "legal" guarantee.born_again said:
Since when was SOGA ever a guarantee?happyolddog said:
Thanks!Muskey said:She is right to a certain extent, as the Sale of Goods Act has not existed for 5 years.
It was replaced in 2015 by the Consumer Rights Act.
does that mean that the cooker and anything we now buy is no longer covered by any guarantee?
Just the same as Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not a guarantee.
It's why people used to get confused & think there was a secret EU law which mean't they got a 2 years manufacturers guarantee when really it just meant a legal guarantee - that you can take them to court for a period not less than 2 years. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
