As a general rule, online conveyancing is fine when things simply follow he process and no issues arise. However, with more complex purchases, or where a problem or something not understood arises, it can be very helpful to be able to easily speak to yoru conveyancer either by phone or (pre-COVID!) ideally face to face.1

Do you mean that you've had an offer accepted for the purchase of a property? You haven't actually bought it yet?
One of the biggest online conveyancers is Premier Property Lawyers, but reviews are mixed - it very much depends on the ability of the conveyancer in charge of your case. Lambert Pugh (Norwich based) have good reviews as has O'Neill Patient (Stockport based). Look at the Trustpilot reviews.
Can I ask why you haven't thought about a local conveyancing solicitor?1 -
Pretty much all conveyancing is online at the moment!1

Thank you for your replies.
Just to confirm I'm looking to instruct a solicitor for the purchase of a property and was just after some recommendations for online conveyancing that some of you may have used and had a good experience with.0 -
Haha, yes that's true!0

I've used the same solicitors for many years, we always sigh when confronted with the on line conveyance house companies .
Those type tend to have piles of cases and with my experience of buying from those who use them it's like pulling hens teeth.0 -
The past three houses I purchased i used all local firms and that was also like pulling teeth! Currently I'm being quoted £1305 cheapest from local firms and see a few online around £800, but i would like feedback before I proceed with online.babyblade41 said:I've used the same solicitors for many years, we always sigh when confronted with the on line conveyance house companies .

I am pretty lucky with mine , I've done 17 private house sales and numerous company ones over the years so we have a good relationship0

When you say you've "just purchased", do you mean your offer has just been accepted? If you've already purchased it, then you've already done all the legals...
Another vote here for finding somebody local, real-world, and well-recommended.0 -
I would do some deeper searches about the conveyancing services and look at the reviews. A lot are still working from home which means fewer resources to do jobs. So the process is slower than usual... Along with the increased demand too. Using a big firm that takes work nationally could mean a longer process. I may be wrong though0
