Standing charge = Daily charge.wallofbeans said:Oh, and what does the standing charge mean?0 -
Those rates are dreadful. For electricity, I'm paying 12.11343p per kWh, Daily Charge 13.2825p (£48.48 per year) and for gas it's 2.0265p per kWh, Daily Charge 28.497p (£104.01 per year). Admittedly, the electricity is a variable tariff.0

I'm really confused then. When I put my details into the MSE Energy Club all I get are options that are all much higher than what you've quoted above. How / where are you getting these great rates?Gerry1 said:Those rates are dreadful. CEC doesn't show all suppliers, despite claiming to do so.Start with Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'.I'm with Neon Reef (electricity) and Robin Hood Energy (gas). RHE may go bust, but nothing ventured, nothing gained !Some tariffs are exclusive to comparison sites such as Uswitch.1

I've never heard of either of those and am sticking with duel fuel for ease for now. I'll have a look though, thanks.Gerry1 said:CEC doesn't show all suppliers, despite claiming to do so.Start with Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'.I'm with Neon Reef (electricity) and Robin Hood Energy (gas). Your choice. The ease of dual fuel often means extra expense !0
