Do you mean you did not receive interest on the 6th of August? Or do you mean you haven't yet got your interest for August because it isn't Sept 6 yet?

I too just had to join a queue. It was only for a couple of minutes, so no big deal, but it's the 1st time I've had to do this.

Also for the 1st time I could not initially see my recent transactions in "Pending" - I have a couple of large amounts in there I deposited this week.
After depositing my latest investment, I could then see all my recent transactions in "Pending", but it is clear their website is struggling to cope with demand at the moment.
The queuing system seems to spring into life at the start of a month - presumably millions checking their PBs and interest payments. For the remainder of the month, there is rarely an issue. Therefore the queuing system, as opposed to throwing more resources at it, seems to be the right approach.

As to pending showing / not showing: how did you deposit, DC or bank transfer? I make all my deposits by DC, and have never observed any issue with the display of pending transactions. I made 5 deposits on Tuesday, all did show under Pending immediately, and are still there today, as expected, and have been earning interest since Tuesday.

I too make all my deposits by debit card. I did deposits both yesterday and the day before. Immediately after making the transactions on both Wednesday and Tuesday, they both showed up in pending immediately as usual, and I received the normal email receipt so I wasn't worried, but when at first today I clicked on pending to expand it, nothing happened despite 2 or 3 attempts.

But as I say, after making a new investment today with my DC, it showed up in pending along with my earlier transactions this week.

98p per month on £9k is approx 0.13% pa. Not sure what index that would be linked to.

I suspect it may be something else.

The NS&I reference was recently discussed on this site and I noticed a pattern. The first letter is the month, eg F for June, G for July and H for August. The final letters denoted the product with NSIB denothing National Savings Income Bonds.
