The Bank of Scotland ones are still £2 rewards - it is just the Halifax branded ones that have changed. Perhaps you have a Bank of Scotland one?

Ah! I do have a Bank of Scotland one, so I am special because I live in Scotland.
Yet that account was a Halifax account that was opened 35 odd years ago and I had my mortgage with it for 25 years.
And there was I thinking I wouldn't need to use 2 credit cards every month just to buy 2 separate pints of milk.

Halifax changed all their Scottish branches into Bank of Scotland branches some years ago, and all the existing accounts became Bank of Scotland accounts.  About 6 or 7 years ago they reintroduced the Halifax brand into Scotland and opened new branches there, but I think they only have three of them, in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen.
All Halifax accounts ARE Bank of Scotland accounts.
They ditched the brand (except mortgages) in Scotland but those accounts already branded Halifax remained so.
They relaunched with three Halifax branches but they also have branch access to all the all the Bank of Scotland branches.
Not sure what the reference to HBOS accounts are?

That must be why I can see both accounts when I log in.
So I don't really have a Halifax Reward account.

If it's Halifax branded -  it will have a sort code starting 11 or if it's Bank of Scotland branded - it will start either 12 or 80.

It will also have the Halifax logo. As opposed to a BOS account, which will have the BOS logo. As can be seen from the screenshot posted by garmeg earlier in this thread.

Halifax accounts have been shown via the BOS login for ages, as have BOS accounts via the Halifax login. However, there are slight differences in what you can see. For instance, the rewards tracker for a Halifax account cannot be seen with the BOS login.
