Wrong car ordered

I ordered a brand new Dacia Sandero in June and was told expected delivery would be September. I commute 75 miles each day (37 miles each way) and my current 18 year old Clio was becoming too unreliable.
“Ref to the parking sensors these cannot be fitted as genuine parts unfortunately they would be fitted by a external supplier which would carry their own guarantee.
I have asked them today to confirm how long the guarantee is for and whether it would be possible to give you a guarantee for them for as long as the vehicle.
I responded stating that even if the warranty for the third party is less than Dacias warranty, I expect Dacia to warranty them for 3 years to match the warranty of the rest of the vehicle.
Where do I stand with this? I think it’s disappointing to be buying a brand new car and immediately have it fitted with third party parts but at the same time I can’t reject it and wait another few months for a replacement vehicle. I’ve seen a black version of the car today and rally liked it - so this part isn’t an issue. My Clio also died last week and I’ve had to borrow a vehicle from my workplace which I have use of until the end of September.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You seem happy with the colour and have effectively got an upgrade for free. So the parking sensors are the only issue, and they haven't responded apparently, options seem to be reject the car and/ or wait for a new delivery which is several months, accept what they offer or see if they supplier will warranty the extra part for the full 3 years which they might still do.1

Order the car and colour you wanted and move on
The last thing you want is to have to deal with 3rd party etc

Do without the front sensors and save the money and the trouble. Do you really need to go so close to the car in front that sensors are required?Rear sensors I understand, it is hard to see out of the back of a modern car, especially when the obstacle is immediately behind.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Aftermarket sensors are probably just as good as the 'original' factor fit sensors. My Focus has aftermarket sensors and they are fine. Take the car in black with the aftermarket sensors and enjoy it.1

Are you sure the front sensors are a factory fit option, and not something that the dealer offers from a 3rd party.
If you build a car (any of the 3 options) from their website. There is no option for front sensors.Life in the slow lane1 -

Thanks for all of the comments. I’ll see what the dealer come back with and then decide whether to get them fitted or not.0

I ordered a brand new Dacia Sandero in June and was told expected delivery would be September. I commute 75 miles each day (37 miles each way) and my current 18 year old Clio was becoming too unreliable.I received a registration document last week which had the incorrect price (more expensive) and colour listed. When questioned, they called me to confirm they had accidently ordered the car in black (order was for white) but that they would waive the £550 colour upgrade cost because it was their fault.I said I was happy to accept the black vehicle and then asked if they had remembered to order the front parking sensors (these were an optional extra - rear sensors are included as standard). They stated they had forgotten to put these on as well (I really don’t know how they got it so wrong!). They advised that they would have them installed prior to my collecting the vehicle in the next couple of weeks. After the phone call, I emailed to state that whilst I’m happy with a black vehicle, there are some drawbacks (shows dirt / scratches more and also gets hotter than white) so asked if they could offer a couple of free services to make up for this. I also asked them to confirm the front parking sensors being fitted are genuine Dacia parts. They emailed back today stating that although it’s not my fault, they are making a loss on the car already by offering the colour upgrade for free and that there is nothing more they could offer. Fair enough I guess, I tried. However, they then said:

They've already cancelled the cost of the wrong paint.
The parking sensors are dealer-fit anyway.
So...? What do you want?
More of a discount? You've asked, they said no.
Reject and wait, or accept.0
