We seen some pretty daft reasons for people doing stuff and getting upset about an inspection hatch is probably not as daft as some (but pretty close  :) )
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

I was simply asking for views and advice on whether others thought it would be worth the hassle and money to move and/or change the boiler, thinking longer term. The consensus is clearly not worth the hassle, which was my thought process in the first place. What’s “daft” to you is not necessarily seen that way by someone else. No need for such comments, a simple comment would suffice, or if you are so offended by the question you can always ignore it.
  • Moving the boiler to the bathroom? This is what I did as I needed more kitchen cupboard space, ideal as there was alot of dead wall space in the bathroom.
On another note stick with gas.

Would this be the same boiler and inspection hatches you were discussing in November 2012?,the replies you received then are broadly similar to those stated now,as is your response to them.

Not necessarily the best for you.  Get quotations for your annual kWh consumption (based on actual meter readings, not estimates) starting with Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?', and don't forget that separate fuels are often cheaper.
