Default Phone Ringtone

I just bought a Xiaomi Mi Note 10. How do I assign a song from my music file as a ringtone? On my old phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro), all I have to do is press and hold the song and select it as a ringtone. Is there a way to import songs into the ringtone folder?

At a guess ... using a Files type of app:

1. Find the file in your Music folder
2. Long press it and select Copy
3. Find your Ringtones folder
4. Long press the empty space and select Paste

Go to settings to change your ringtone and the music file should be there.

On my Android phone:

Go to the Ringtone settings, tap on the current ringtone to bring up a list of the ringtones you can choose from, scroll to the end of the list and select the option to pick my own, navigate to the audio file (which you have previously copied to the phone) in the file browser that appears and select it.

Go on app store and look up ringdroid you can use whole song or clip it and use as alarm sound and other stuff

ringdroid as suggested is very good (and simple) to use with existing music on your phone.
