Hello everyone,
Next month i am looking to get my first sim-only contract, nothing fancy really the cheapest available, i come across a deal that i like with virgin media,
just the £7 one and was looking for some advice, is it a good network? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Virgin use the EE network so make sure you can get a good signal with EE before signing up. Virgin do 12 monthly contracts so you will be tied to them for a year minimum. I've seen quite a few negative comments regarding Virgin customer service on this site but quite honestly most networks seem to be complained about on here!
An alternative is Plusnet who also run on the EE network but do rolling 30 day contracts which means you can switch to another network without too much hassle should you need to.
Look here for alternatives :

I'd certainly look at 30 day rolling contracts before committing. There is not much advantage to having any longer contracts, especially as it's your first SIM only contractWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

I was previously on Lebara, did not like it at all didn't get any signal in my area so was on it a very short time. I will take a look at what deals Plusnet have on offer. I am trying to find the best deal before i tie myself down to any contract. Farway said:macman said:Lebara or Plusnet Mobile?
I am not keen on the 30-day rolling contracts because i need to work on my credit. It has taken a bit of a knock recently due to someone committing fraud using my name and credit details. So i am looking for something that can show on my credit file and show that i pay every month. Sorry for all the info, this is the only place i get to vent.I'd certainly look at 30 day rolling contracts before committing. There is not much advantage to having any longer contracts, especially as it's your first SIM only contract0
