Does tariff prices change each month?
Hi,
My British Gas (Energy Plus Protection Green Sep 2020v2) contract is coming to an end next month and have used CEC to find the cheapest deal which is (SSE Online Energy v4) but was wondering does the tariff prices change each month, as I'm thinking of whether to switch today or wait to see the prices in September?

How on earth can SSE Online Energy v4 be the cheapest?!!! They come 55th in the list of dual fuel deals for my address/consumption. And of course dual fuel is the most expensive deal for most people.

Probably by the CEC nudging people towards commission paying companies, e.g. by agreeing to see only those with three star ratings or better? And of course it still fails to show the whole market, despite all its claims to do so.Talldave said:Hasbeen said:

I have the filter set to show all ratings but will also check other comparisons website.Gerry1 said:Probably by the CEC nudging people towards commission paying companies, e.g. by agreeing to see only those with three star ratings or better? Start with Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'. Check some others to see whether cashback is available, but if it's a cheap tariff it probably won't be. Ditto the referrals board here.Lither said:I have the filter set to show all ratings but will also check other comparisons website.0 -
Separate suppliers will be cheaper, probably something like Ebico and Neon Reef?1

I currently have a British Gas smart meter, if I was to go with separate suppliers, do they need to install new meters or just give them meter readings?Talldave said:Separate suppliers will be cheaper, probably something like Ebico and Neon Reef?0 -
Just send meter readings if they don't get them from the meter.0
