Please can anyone advise. We are just about to get fibre to the house in a very rural area, after a self dig agreement with Openreach, yes all residents had to dig their own trenches and lay the pipe. Fibre now being put through by Openreach FTTP. Previously we had terrible, less than dial up, speed. They will leave reel of fibre at house so whoever the provider will connect.
Currently we are with BT. Not sure if we would now have other possibly cheaper options? We have a landline, although we are wondering whether to just use our mobiles in future. We have Sky TV dish. Just ignorant of what is best sort of deal for us going forward. We seem to pay a lot for phone, broadband sky, and want to look at the whole lot and hope to make a saving. Thanks for any help.

You can see TT on the list , but judging from posts on this and other forums, ordering on line isn’t supported and you need to call them....,just in case any inaccurate comments like ‘ we are being forced to use BT ‘ are made, that’s not the case , if any particular provider doesn’t offer FTTP over OR infrastructure, that’s their choice, no one is stopping them.1

Thanks. From what I'd read, it seemed no one on that list would be cheaper than BT?. But I will try - I will contact all on the list (perhaps email all) and see what they offer?0

I just talked to a neighbour who has been liasing with BT re the self dig. Apparently when Openreach have finished getting fibre to outside of all our houses, then they log it as done. Then BT and all other companies that wants our business will contact us with offer. £28 sounds good for line rental and broadband, thanks for the info..1

TalkTalk's FTTP offering is broadband-only.
You don't get a landline.

From today, Sky are selling FTTP online:

However BT are offering some cracking online only FTTP deals here:

The above offer was originally intended for Bristol residents but works nationwide1
