Do you need a TP1 transfer of ownership document showing the conditions of covenants?

What stage are you at in the transaction and is the house a new build?
If a new build (and not leasehold) there would usually be a TP1 and you would be sent it with the property report once investigations are complete. You will sign this and return it to your solicitor but should retain a copy.
If not a new build there might be an old transfer with covenants or these might be included on the title register. You would be sent a copy with the property report once investigations are complete.
You might get sent a copy earlier if your solicitor has any concerns about the covenants they want to bring to your attention.

We signed and return the TP1 but didn't retain a copy thinking it would come back at completion. We now own the house and have struggled to get much from the solicitor but they uploaded a copy of the register to the land registry and we have a copy. Just wonder whether we should persue the tp1 because of the covenants{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}0

You're entitled to a copy of everything in your solicitor's file, I doubt they failed to keep a copy.0

In that case just email them and ask for a copy. I'd be surprised if they didn't have an electronic copy0
