Why are you guessing? Ring them and ask. 0800 997996 usually gets you a UK call centre.I am also not 100% sure exactly when my M&S deal runs out -will it be the statement date, or the anniversary of opening my account or any other date ???? I know it is January but that is all.
However, they will inform you on your penultimate statement...but it's usually in very small print.
When you get your next card, ask the CSA when you do the BT. Then write the date, and the name of the person who told you, on your credit agreement. Note the date and time of the call.0 -
Hi everyone. Just joined, and so chuffed due to the fact that i managed to secure a quite staggering £8000 off MBNA last night, zero transfer fees, zero intrest for 10 months, and will be in my current account next monday.
I initially just rang them for a £2500 balance transfer, but the rate was too high. That's when the 8 grand at zero was offered. Told her i didn't need 8k, and quite amazingly she suggested i simply took it and invested it for 10 months, not forgetting to set up the direct debit for the minimum payment of course.
Half an hour of probing, asking questions about the small print on an 0800 number, and the final result is that i feel like i've won the lottery!!
Highly recommended.0 -
I rang today to see what they could do - have a £5700 limit and have just cleared the outstanding balance (£1800) I have a cahoot loan of £4800 I want to shift a bit quicker to phoned to see if they could offer me anything.
Best they could offer me was 0% until Sept 2008 but would not shift on the 2.9% handling fee. The man on the phone said that they could not wave the balance transfer fee. Decided not to move the loan in the end, as it wouldn't work out much better for me with the BT fee. Strange how some get it and some don't.Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0 -

But isn't the interest on those cahoot loans sky high something like 18 or 19% ?? Surely, even with the BT fee you will be better off??0 -
No my cahoot loan is 5.7% fixed rate.Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0
