Had a viewing on house yesterday. EA did viewing while we were in car outside due to shielding. Time changed at short notice , which was not a problem for us. At end of viewing Ea was in quite heated exchange with viewers. When talking to him afterwards. Told that one male viewer was actually an agent ? Acting for the couple that was with him. EA was very annoyed as he was unable to discuss with people about house, this due to others speaking in another language . Has this happened to anyone else? Note the agent ? would not even allow couple to say about offering on house. All spoke English.

What's the actual issue here?
The EA didn't like the viewers, who'd brought somebody with them? Hey-ho.

The person that booked viewing, who EA checked details on not prospective buyer. The person who booked now since doing internet checks further. Has company name that is registered as EA, lettings etc. But from private house. EA was not allowed to ask couple about finances etc . Was expected to deal with agent? This is what caused problem . EA has strict rules about house viewings.0

I don't really understand what is the problem TBH0

Seems a rather large fuss about nothing at all.0

Unless they're making an offer which you'd want to consider, I don't see why you need to worry about this at all.0

there are always weirdos to be fair. I sometimes think they just want to fill 20 minutes of spare time.
Had a couple who came to view and the main issue for them is the fact that the house has a utility room so you can't walk around it. Of course, first picture on RM showed that, so made me wonder why on earth did you bother coming?
Another viewing .... 5 dudes turned up ... 5 .... I still don't know what to make of that. But hey, comes with the teritory.0 -

I am so confused!
What checks weren't done? If I've wanted to view, I ring and arrange a viewing. The only checks are to ask my name and phone number. Maybe an address. I may have been asked about what my position is.
Really not sure what you (or the agent for that matter) find so odd.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*1 -
So the people looking to buy have appointed an agent to search for property for them and advise - this type of service isn't very common and mostly for very expensive property but no reason why anyone can't do it. I think the problem rests with your EA who seems to have an issue with it.
