Sky Package including Talk anytime. Is my calculation correct

I have calculated I can get a Sky package with fast broadband,tv including Netflix and talk anytime for £53 a month, which I think is reasonable. I might be able to negotiate a better deal. I am currently with Virgin Media and my contract expires in September. I have not been impressed with Virgin Media and their customer service is abysmal. I am paying a lot more than what seems like Sky is offering me as a new customer,. If I switch to Sky how does the telephone line work do I need to get one installed as virgin is all connected by cable. I do understand there is a connection fee which I believe includes installing a free satellite dish and Sky Q box which I hope is correct.

Sky may be able to transfer the phone number but you may have to have a new BT line installed if you don't have a socket/connections to the pole already.Note there is no "switching window" like you get in Gas/Electricity - if your contract ends, say, September 15th, and you leave on September 14th, you will be charged a pro-rata early exit fee, though by the time of one day it probably wouldn't be very much anyway. The other thing to be aware of is that Sky charge a month in advance for services. So you will pay more in the first month than the second and subsequent months. The Q box is not yours, it is rented. The dish will be yours.0

The other thing to note is that your Virgin service will continue until you cancel it. Sky will not tell Virgin. This is different to the process of switching between ISPs that use the Openreach network, where the gaining provider tells the loosing provider to cancel.0
