Catsacor we all need a laugh at the moment though it wasn't funny at the time.Crowbars are useful, I put a small £1 seedling Buddleia in my strawberry patch to get it going and it's suddenly grown into a 6ft plant. 1 season! The fork won't even make it wobble. When replanting time comes it's going to have to be my trusty crowbar. £7 from the local diy store and it's helped me with all sorts. Don't dis the crowbar

Best of luck! I once had a big Buddleia that was quite simply in the wrong place. I chopped it all back and started digging it out, but the roots went on forever. 2m crow bar made no difference. Resorted to a very thick rope and pulled the stump out with the Land Rover... However, next spring it came back stronger than ever, so that spot became the bon-fire site for a season or two until it was safe to declare it dead!twopenny said:Catsacor we all need a laugh at the moment though it wasn't funny at the time.Crowbars are useful, I put a small £1 seedling Buddleia in my strawberry patch to get it going and it's suddenly grown into a 6ft plant. 1 season! I have found it is easier to pull out self seeded saplings after a heavy downpour... Although I had to purchase a roughneck little mutt (spade handle with a slicing blade contraption) to assist with Rhododendron removal - its other purpose is with the more stubborn saplings. Although fingers crossed you have already managed to get them out!0
