Now, for the first time since this thread started, we find that the O/P wants to travel to another "small" station in The Midlands ! Has he thought about merely picking a nice area , rather than that around New Street------and then drive by car to wherever it is he wants to go to 3 times a week. That's another example of difference between London and B-ham------in Birmingham, most people who have ever lived there, especially like the O/P who wants an early start ( thus missing the "rush hour" ), would travel by car. In London, very few people would drive by car to somewhere in the home counties ( because the "rush hour" lasts more than an hour and the roads are not an attractive option).
I feel we are going round in circles on this thread and that perhaps the O/P should spend a week in B-ham and make up his own mind. And I hope he finds what he wants and wish him well.3 -

People are trying to help because they don't think Brum City Centre is the best place to live. People only want to be helpful.Enabling them to understand your circumstances might just give you a different angle to consider, which you are, of course, free to ignore, but other people do know what it's like living in Birmingham and so they might just come up with another good idea for you.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

btw I can still post even if one poster has ‘wished me well and left me to it’ ?0 -
Of course. It was that one poster. It would just be really nice if you could explain yourself. You're still witholding details, so people don't really get where you're coming from. If it's a national secret, we'll have to get over it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

2. Within 10-15 walking distance from New street station.
3. Which specific buildings are nice/ have spacious flats and meet the above criteria in points 1 & 2.1 and 2 is fixed so I didn’t engage in discussions Where I was being advised considering other areas in Birmingham.2 -

There are very few people that live or have lived within 10-15 mins walking distance of New St Station, so these replies will be few and far between. However, you will find Brummies generally to be a friendly and helpful bunch so please do be prepared for people to try to engage with you
Best wishes, Max3
