The baggage is part of the flight; you wouldn't be automatically entitled to claim this back unless the airline says you can in your contract.0

Pretty sure the T&C's will state all optional fees are non-refundable like the airfare.0

Hi I am similar, I have a flight booked for 2/10/20 with Ryanair from Cardiff to Faro. Due to having to self isolate if I took this trip I know I will not be going. Therefore I know in advance that I won't be needing the luggage I paid for. However, there is no option on their website to amend the booking to take off the luggage. Seems a little unfair that they can add extras after the flight is booked but not allow to take them away even before the flight. Any advice?0

baggage fees are non-refundable (unless the flight is cancelled)
if you move your flight the baggage should move with it. If you are making an insurance claim you should be able to include the baggage fee in the claim0
