I I had PPI paid, now Arrow are claiming statue barred debt. I get £82 a month child allowance, that is all.

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying, but if you mean that your redress has gone against the outstanding debt, that's correct.0

Interesting point is whether the PPI claim suggests that this re-set the clock re statute barring?
Who lives on £82 per month>?
Let's see if the OP returns?0 -
Once statute barred, it can't be unbarred.0

We don't know anything from her post - doubt she will be back if I'm honest.0

1 - "I I had PPI paid" - PPI is something you pay. it is not something that pays you unless you claim on the insurance. Do you mean you made a complaint and they upheld your complaint?
2 - "now Arrow are claiming statue barred debt." - Statute barring of debts has no impact on PPI redress. Statute barring just means they will not use the courts to chase you for the debt. However, a PPI redress payment from a successful complaint can go against unpaid debts that are statute barred. That is logical as you never paid the debt in the first place. So you shouldn't get a refund of something you never paid.
3 - "I get £82 a month child allowance, that is all." - not sure where that comes into it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thank you for your input and I apologise if my post was unclear. Yes I made a PPI claim and received payment on a debt that was statue barred 12 years ago. My mum has recently gone into care so all my benefits have stopped as I was her registered carer. So yes whilst I am looking for work all I have coming in is £82 a month. Income support isn’t available as I haven’t “worked” for 10 years.0

I'm still none the clearer on what the issue is, apart from a lack of income, but this isn't the right board for advice on that.0

i’m guessing the OP is querying, in a roundabout way, whether or not their current financial hardship would entitle them to all or part of that redress given they’re supposedly receiving just child benefit and nothing else at the minute. I also suspect a CMC’s hand is involved.helpful tips

You are not being asked for any money from your £82 a month (which is wrong, you really need to get on the benefits board...)
You are simply being told 'yes you can have PPI money, but its being paid to the people you didnt pay.'
