Presumably this is Tandem Bank.
Put it this way, given the choice of "internal process screw up" and "unexpected generosity", when it comes to Tandem Bank the first is far more likely.0 -
But Tandem don’t appear to charge an annual fee on their CCs as the OP seems to be implying.jim1999 said:Presumably this is Tandem Bank.

So are we going to name the provider here or just keep everyone guessing?0

Any how... I have spoken to the CC company and they have informed me the money was paid to them from my mortgage company. Which has left me asking myself when did I use the CC with the mortgage company...0

Drip drip drip...so it was Tandem after all? Only you will know if you ever paid the mortgage provider with your CC for whatever reason. So it looks like it wasn’t a gift after all

I am not saying which CC provider it was, there is no benefit in naming them.Highland76 said:Drip drip drip...so it was Tandem after all? Only you will know if you ever paid the mortgage provider with your CC for whatever reason. So it looks like it wasn’t a gift after all

Thanks phillw, I was able to identify the law that applies last night, although I am curious if the proof of knowledge that the money is paid into a customer's account is on the account holder. Unless you actively check your statements (I doubt most people do) if you have money going into your account from several sources its plausible that you wouldn't notice. (I submit claims through work several times a month so it would be easier than someone who only has a single monthly payment going into their account to miss an erroneous payment. I also transfer funds between accounts on a regular basis. So I did notice when this occurred.)phillw said:
