Thanks Toto and Snaggles
His old nursery and OH both thought he might have autistic tendencies I have always been eager just to let him develop and see later much to the nursery's annoyance who used to badger me weekly to ask if I had seen my GP yet for a referral. In the end they bought in a SENCO and did their own assessment (without my knowledge or permission) which really hacked me off at the time. I have felt completely lost at times with him not knowing quite what to do but I have had a great HV and now his school seem to know how to cope with him. I still feel rubbish at times like I should 'know' what to do but I really feel like I have had an epiphany!! I mean I still don't know everything but what I SHOULD do is accept the way he is and love him like that and not try and mould him into someone he isn't going to be. Oh........ and be patient something I am not very good at!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
He's really young themaccas, I wouldn't let them force you into anything too quickly. It's pretty shocking that they assessed him without your consent.
No parent ever really 'knows' what to do - the majority of the time it's just a case of taking an educated guess and hoping for the best. By all means take the opinions of the doctors, the senco, the school etc on board, but at the end of the day, no-one knows your little boy as well as you do, and YOU are best placed to make decisions for him.
Hope that all made sense, I'm having trouble translating 'thoughts' into 'words' today!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi guys! Back from the dentist and wondering whether to chance a cup of coffee - thank goodness you won't be able to see me dribbling. Just called the kids' head teacher to arrange work for when they are in France, and had to apologise for sounding drunk......not sure if she accepted my excuse of a numb face or not

I am trying to do flylady again today - have done my hall and made a start on the lounge. A friend has asked if I want to go for coffee - I am trying to use that as my reward.......but that means I have to move......urgh!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi all.
Toto - tell you what, I'll come over and give you a hand with the cooking and a big hug
I'm still trying to tell myself I do NOT need a new Christmas tree. The one in the loft, costing £4 from Ebay 3 years ago will probably do another year and when it is decorated is, at the end of the day, just a Christmas tree, even though it looks a bit tatty when 'naked'. Spending £25 on a new one when it's only going to see the light of day for 21 days of the year is daft and I have to try to shake the urge to spend!!!!
We were woken at 2 this morning by OH's mobile ringing - more than probably a wrong number but he seemed to get it in his head that it was one of his son's friends phoning him to say there was something wrong. After an hour of him pacing, having a smoke and a coffee I convinced him that if there was something wrong the caller would have called back, called me or left a voicemail.
So, very little sleep as OH then got back up at 6 and was clattering around until he left. I drifted back off to sleep but was then rudely woken by a delivery bloke banging on the door a minute or so before 8am. Then OH called just before 9 to see if I was up!!!
So, bear with a sore head today - literally.

I would go back to bed for a bit if I were you Keren!
Our tree is a really cheap one too, but I put so much tinsel on it that you really can't tell!
Hypno, hope your mouth is feeling ok - careful with that coffee - how about a straw?

I like seeing people's trees. Tinsel got banned from ours a few years ago because... well my brother kept lighting it

Will take one of ours once it has presents at the bottom of it
Need to do next year's budget today, dulllllNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Wish I could go back to bed Snaggles, but I need to work

Did my daily clicks this morning - talk about a mountain to climb - I think i've had about £2 track in 3 days!

I'm off work today sick. Managed to get about an hour and halfs sleep last night due to my cold and breathing issues so when i woke up at work time felt so lousy i thought enough i need to stay at home today. Reset the alarm so i could ring in an hour later. I do feel guilty but i'm sure the dosing untill 11 has really helped me.0
