Is there anything in this older thread on removing tar? I'll merge this later to keep ideas together :)

Thanks for all your suggestions, but she has normal feet again now.

We applied cooking oil to the feet and left it for half an hour. Then used neat fairy liqiud onto a kitchen scrubber, lot of scrubbing and laughing her feet are now clean. :T

Shegirl, I was trying anything and everything to get the tar off and I remembered how body spray cleaned permanent marker pen off a computer screen a few years back, totally a different thing I know, but it was worth a shot.

Body spray is brilliant for getting felt tip pen marks off anything, also works on carpets and leather suites etc. Thats why i always reach for body spray for stubborn marks now. Just remember not to use deodrant instead.

    Hiya,

My 20 year old daughter has walked over a little patch of tarmac that was laid this morning in our garden. Yes I said 20 year old not 2 year old Lol. Luckily it still was not hot. However she is left with pretty black marks on the soles of her feet.
Any ideas how to remove it? We have tried nail varnish remover and body spray but didnt shift it at all.

Try rubbing butter into soles of her feet and then scrubbing them.
It used to work on my knees when I was a kid :rotfl:
