Amazon change delivery options after placing the order?

Didn't miss the delivery luckily.  One delivery but 2 parcels so probably just a different warehouse.
Curious why the Fulfilled item could not change the delivery though?  I would have preferred to have
them drop it at a locker.

Whilst trying to find a way of changing the delivery something on the screen made me wonder
how long ago was it that they offered discounts to combine your delivery?

It might not be possible for them all to come as one order if they are coming from different warehouses.  There are multiple Amazon warehouses all over the UK.

It is possible for a Prime item to be sent direct by the seller if they are signed up to ‘Seller Fulfilled Prime’, but in this case it will not show as ‘Fulfilled By Amazon’.

All that plus they use different delivery services. Mostly Amazon drivers but also Royal Mail, DPD and others. There's also still a possibility that item comes direct from a European Amazon warehouse.
Smaller items that fit up to large letter post will often go as Royal Mail.

Just strange that I can have an item tomorrow but cannot delay its delivery until Friday. But check the item
tomorrow and I can have it next day (Friday), lots in stock so some strange logistics issue or just issues
with the website?

Still cannot fathom the search though, why can't I sort by low - high without losing a high percentage of search
results?  Often the actual item I wanted to check whether its available cheaper vanishes.

Try switching from a mobile app to a PC. Also refining within categories helps if you haven't already done so.

My reply seems to be missing?   It was a PC and Firefox not a mobile device or app. Tried logged into my account and
also in Chrome which was not logged in. I seem to get the same results.  Amazon does not want me to sort by cheapest
maybe they know I am Scrooge. 

Another item ordered late Thursday evening with Monday delivery (marketplace seller and shipping), knock on the
door at 7:40AM Saturday.  A wave and a blink the driver was gone.  Typical as I had delayed some orders thinking
I would add them over the weekend to arrive on Monday also.

Just tickles me how erratic it can be. No rush it arrives fast but when you need it your clock watching.
Noticed more items being listed with same day delivery again.
