I filled out the form on E-ON's website for a replacement boiler - I qualify as my boiler is over 5 years old, nearer 35 years! and I get Attendance Allowance as I'm disabled and a pensioner, the website said EON would phone me, didn't happen. I phoned them today and they said I didn't qualify as my boiler is not faulty at the moment, didn't see that anywhere on the eligibility criteria???0

Just because your boiler is over 5 years old it doesn't mean it needs replacing. If there's nothing wrong with it then you won't be able to claim for a new one.

If you get pension credit or a number of other benefits and your boiler is over 7 years old (working or not) you might qualify for a grant to replace it
