Charged for text never made
I will start by saying, my OH has never sent a text message using this phone. She was checking her Virgin Mobile account online today and looked at her itemised usage. There was 26p for a voicemail she received yesterday and a mystery £2 for a text she never made on 4th August to 07520601005. I have checked the number and it seems she is not alone. Is this a new type of scam and if so how would they do it?

Your OH needs to contact Virgin and tell them what's happened. Also, there's some info here, and on the internet generally if you do a google search.
