We had this put on our sofa but I don't believe it was ever treated ,soon after we had the sofa a drink was spilt on it and if it had been treated it would of bubbled up on sofa to give you time to sponge it up. They wouldn't accept it hadn't been treated and we couldn't prove it.

If it had been treated like they insisted it was useless and a complete waste of money.

So if it was me I would cancel it.
I also don’t believe our sofas were treated. The first spill on it was water. It immediately made a water mark, I called Guardsman who took 4 weeks to attend. The 2nd time was juice, they took 6 weeks, this time, they used something on the stain that bleached the material. After a long fight that involved 3 different people coming to “ assess” the damage, they sent me a new cushion cover which I couldn’t use because the rest of the sofa by that time had faded a bit so the new cover was a different colour.
Now, I don’t bother calling them. The fabric was definitely not treated.
If I was the OP, try going into DFS with a cup of coffee( because that’s what they do isn’t it?j) and just say “ if I pour this coffee on one of your sofas, will it stain it?”

Are you sure you want to pay DFS £1600 for a sofa?
Personally i would rather sit on the floor than enter into a finance agreement with DFS
Based on what? 4 years zero interest is effectively a small discount if you are confident about your credit record.

The post you've replied to is almost a year old.
The OP had chosen her sofa on 23rd August 2020.
